Blog Post #2

In my last blog post, I talked about how I wanted my future to look like, and what career path I wanted to pursue. The way I want my future to be will take a lot of hard work and strategy. My strategy is to do what I need to do in college as an undergraduate student. I know the classes that I need to take to graduate on time, with a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies with a minor in Law. With the study groups and going to class to learn something new every day and having the knowledge of what I am getting taught is and will always help me do well on my homework, classwork, papers and any other assignments that pertains to any college courses that I am and will be taking in the future. Like I said in my previous post, after I graduate from college as an undergraduate, I plant to attend graduate school. Before trying out graduate school, if I have received any internships jobs then I’ll see where that goes; but if that doesn’t take me far then I would love to keep succeeding in school and attend graduate school to get my Masters in Criminal Justice. My goal is to attend the University of South Florida (USF). USF has an outstanding Criminal Justice program. The fact that I want to go to graduate school is a big step, a huge decision that I have decided to make for myself, to better my future; also to make my parents proud. I know that throughout my years of being on this earth, I know all they wanted to do was to do what was best for me; until I grew old enough to make my own decisions. I’ve always wanted to show my parents that I can have and that I want a future. I always say to myself that I will become someone that is nothing but successful. The fact that I want to keep climbing the ladder of success makes me proud of myself. I used to not like school throughout middle and high school. Around my junior year in high school, I realized that I wanted to get into a good college then I would need to get the grades that I needed to get in order to graduate high school, and then move onto college. After then, I loved to gain knowledge. I enjoy learning new things every single day. After graduate school, with the grace of God, and many prayers, I plan to have a job that will potentially turn into a career. The field that I want to a part of has very limited job offers. My “dream” career is to be am prosecuting attorney. I want to be in the court room at all times. If I don’t get any job offers after graduate school, then I know my next step is Law school. I watch so many criminal shows, I just fell in love. I love the anything that has to do with crime, mystery and law. I’ve been watching shows like CSI, CSI: Miami, Law & Order, Law & SVU, and the Chiller channel since I was a young girl. I used to always watch it with my grandma, because she loved to watch it as well. The reason why I want to be a prosecuting attorney is because I want to be the person who sends the bad guys to jail or even worse, prison. I feel that people who do terrible, horrific crimes should be sent to jail or prison. There are too many criminals on the street who need to be punished for they have done, and they need to be incarcerated. Usually the criminals who are still on the streets are because they haven’t got caught yet or they got away with it in court. Also, there are too many innocent people or victims rotting in jail and prison for crimes that they have not committed. My heart goes out to those innocent souls because the Justice System basically took away those people’s lives. Doing something that I’ve always wanted to do majority of my life and achieve in my entire school career would be amazing. In my last post, I also talked about how I don’t want to go through my journey alone. Hopefully with the grace of God, the Lord will bless me with a loving, caring and supportive husband that will be by my side through thick and thin. I would love to have someone behind me supporting me and my dreams. However long my husband and I are together, I plant to have a family of my own. I want to have children so I can raise them to be great successors just like their mother and father will be. I want to give them the things that I didn't get a chance to have when I was a young girl. I want my future husband and me to teach our future children to never give up, to strive for the best, nothing less. I want to be the best prosecuting attorney, the best mother and wife to my family that I can be. I want and will be able to take care of my mom and dad as well as my own family with my husband and kids. I can see that my future goals are very bright. I know that God has a great future for me and I guarantee to keep going through that path that He has for me. No one know the future except for Him, and I can’t wait to see what He has in store for me. All I want is to do better in life. I would love to have a great future with God, my family and my career, because at the end of the day that’s all that matters to me. I was brought up throughout my younger years that with hard work, intelligence, family and Christ, anything is possible and that everything will be just fine.
